"The Day of Discovery was ‘just right’, like the phrase used by Goldilocks of Goldilocks and the Three Bears fame. What I mean by that is, the amount of information I received was ‘just right’ to take back to the school site and share with the Tech Team and the faculty. Barbara and I did a presentation that following Tuesday when we shared many of the ideas we received at The Day of Discovery. Many of the project-based activities were “just right” to be incorporated into the instructional plans of the two groups I teach, Gifted and Talented and Academic Challenge Participants, and the groups that Barbara teach, Gifted and Talented and Pre School. The ideas exchanged with others was ‘just right’ to fit into the Professional Development plans we have already begun at our site. It is hard to have a poor fit, using the Goldilocks analogy, with session presenters such as, Jannita Demian, Warren Dale and Hall Davidson, they make it all seem so easy, and enticing. Their enthusiasm is contagious and you want to share that with colleagues and students.
So, even though I’m more dreadlocks than goldilocks, I found the Day of Discovery to be ‘just right’ for all involved and all who are willing to share the excitement. "
